My mom taught me how to read when I was 5-6 years old and this was the first book I read. This book made me laugh because of the rhymes Dr. Seuss put in it. This book was an easy read and that is why my mom decided to use it to teach me how to read. This book will always be one of my favorite because it was the first one I read and it would always make me very happy as a kid.
Book that inspired me.
The book "Sweetness" is about my favorite football player ever, Walter Payton. After reading the book I realized how much of an inspirtation he was. He died young, after he battled with cancer. During his entire career he was doubted and he turned out to be one of the best players ever to play the game. The book inspired me to never give up on your goals even if you are doubted because if you work hard in the end anything is possible.
Book that made me cry.
"Where Men Win Glory" is a true story about football player Pat Tillman who was killed when he was serving as a Army Ranger. Pat was an amazing football player and decided to leave his career in order to serve his country. He was not only an amazing football player but he was a very kind man. He was killed by friendly fire, and the government covered it up. It made me cry because of how he left his career to honor his country, and ended up being killed because of it.
Favorite Book that went to screen.
Book is about Nucky Thompson and the corrupt government officials during the 1920s in and around Atlantic City. Book and TV show deals with a lot of violence, corruption, and bootleggers. It takes place during the time of prohibition so it has to deal with a lot of gangsters and mobsters. I really enjoyed reading and watching this because it is based off true stories. Also I enjoyed it because of the violence and I am very interested in gangsters and violence.
Favorite summer book.
I read this book two summers ago and I really enjoyed it. I usually only like reading books that have to do with sports, or violence but this one I actually enjoyed. I liked it because I feel like it had a lot in common with real life situations in high school. I could relate to some of them, or think of someone I know that was similar to the characters.
Book I recommend to friends.
This book is about Tim Tebow and his journey of growing up and becoming a great football player. This is a very motivating book and makes you want to work just as hard as he did to become successful. It also talks a lot about god and faith and I feel like that might be good for my friends to read about. This book makes you realize that being good at sports isn't everything, you also have to be a very nice person.
